Sitan Tai Chi Promotes Health Qigong

The 4th International Health Qigong Tournament and Exchange was held in Vancouver, Canada during Sept. 16-20, 2011. More than 300 participants from 25 countries and regions attended the tournament and training seminars, and showcased the health benefits of this increasingly popular activity that promotes cultural exchange, friendship and world peace.

The team of Sitan Tai Chi and Martial Arts, led by Master Sitan of Tai Chi and Master Lynn Xu of Martial Arts, was the only delegation from New York in this event. The entire team delivered an astonishing performance and won two 1st place awards in the group competitions, and one 1st place award, four 2nd place awards, and two 3rd place awards for the individual competitions while competing with 44 other Health Qigong groups from around the world. It also received a special award for its extraordinary contribution in team building.

    Originally developed in China a few hundred years ago, Tai Chi (TaiJi) is a type of martial art that is primarily known for its health benefits, including means for dealing with tension and stress. It is often promoted and practiced as a martial arts therapy for the purposes of health and longevity.

    Master Sitan Chen has won a total of 32 gold medals in national and international Tai Chi competitions. Master Chen now offers different kinds of class in the great New York area.
